| Yes, we're back. No news this week. Unless you count these: ITEM ONE:  John Rogers, co-creator of the new (and actually good) Blue Beetle has turned his hand to the new revamp of D & D with predictably awesome results. If you find the Tolkien brand of sword & sorcery stodgy and old hat, if you prefer your elves and sorcerers be cut more from the Zelazny, Brust or Williams cloths, you must, we repeat: MUST, pick this book up. Saying it kicks ass is to asskickery what WW2 was to international conflicts. The art is top notch (how could it not be? we wouldn't recommend it otherwise). Seriously. This first issue is only one buck. Buy it today. ITEM TWO: BLACKSTAR WARRIOR Some time ago film archivists unearthed this trailer for a "blaxploitation" spinoff from the Star Wars trilogy. Real? Fake? All we know is it's damned entertaining and you REALLY need to check it out ASAP. Make sure you check out the documentary footage. This really has to be seen to be believed. And, of course, another entry in our unofficial company theme song contest. |
