STUFF WE LIKE!
| Well, it's Friday again (WOW, does it fly by or WHAT?) and things are starting to heat up here at the capitol of the Genre Nation. We're not really able to discuss much of the backstage gymnastics that are going on but we can refer to them obliquely, just to get you as irritated with us as possible. First up: answering some of the questions we've been getting: Yes, we have a new project in the works. No, it's not a sequel to PRODIGAL. The new thing is, in no way, related to Prodigal. Yes, it will be an all-ages book. No, it will not be a watered down version of what we do. All the ass-kickery we promised to bring in our work will be in full effect in THE BIG SECRET PROJECT. Plus monkeys. No, we are not saying any more than that for the next several weeks (unless we change our minds). In a related note: Yes, we will be attending SDCC. Take that for what it's worth. Second up: Is there a movie thing? No comment at this time but watch this space. And we mean that. Watch this space. Third up: No, we haven't seen IRON MAN 2 yet. We're both working a lot right now and there's not much time for fun. Maybe next week. We hear good things. Okay. That's all we've got for now. Moving on to the other Friday feature: STUFF WE LIKE!!! ITEM ONE:  Brandon Easton's SHADOW LAW: This thing isn't even out yet and it's just SMOKING hot. Scifi, action, epic battles, magic. There's really no way to do it justice so, here, see for yourself. SHADOWLAW ONLINE This is just some primo real-estate, folks. Our advice, stake out some property ASAP. ITEM TWO: COUNTERSTRIKE, Dayton Ward's sequel to THE LAST WORLD WAR, is available. If you like tight, action-packed, military sci-fi with crackling dialogue and awesome aliens, you need to check this series out. Here's what they look like.   You can get them at ANY bookstore or on AMAZON. And, just for you folks, there's a Genre 19 connection on page 44 of book 2. ITEM THREE:  This is a Geoff thing again. BBC7's online "radio" presence. Geoff's a sucker for well-made audio drama and nobody, absolutely nobody, does it better than BBC 7.
